Well, Freddy is quite exceptional, he is:
- very outgoing: lifts his leg as if he was waiving and goes HELLO!!!! HI, HOW U DOING?! to every single person he sees -even the ones on the street he doesn't know from Adam to the point that I've had neighbors knocking on my door so they can say Hello to him up close -even a policeman who wanted one 'just like him' for his kids (a notion I very quickly nixed by showing him the size of his beak) - The bird never met a human he doesn't like.
- incredibly affectionate: me: "Freddy, give me a kiss' - Freddy leaning over, puts the top of his beak against my lips and goes MUUUUUUAAAA, leans back to look at me and I go: "I LOVE YOU!' and he goes "AHHAAAAA!" and immediately leans over to give me another kiss for which he expects the same reaction, of course, and he can do this forever, if you let him - he also climbs on your arm and leaning his entire body against your chest and tucking his head under your chin, he goes: 'papapapapapapapapapapapa' or clicks his beak -a sign of utter contentment in toos (I do the papapapapa with him and click my teeth together at the same rhythm he does it)
- completely non-aggressive: I can do anything with that bird and he will not even get testy
- funny, funny, funny and not only because of the things he says but also because of his antics - he is the biggest show-off and ham and, anything that makes you laugh, praise him or just look at him, he will do for hours -LOL- I am planning on taking him to the school where I used to work (had to quit because of my health) to show him to the kids when they have their annual picnic in June (I had been telling them stories of my birds and showing them pictures) because I know he will enjoy their attention just as much as the kids will enjoy seeing his antics.
