is my quaker trying to court me?

My quaker (he's 5) has reacently started doing something. He will fluff up as big as he can get and start panting/squeaking. He shows a lot of affection like rubbing his face againt mine and rubbing his boby against my chin (which I find adorable) and it seems like he cannot sit still. He's never done this before and I've owned him for 3 years. Someone told me that he was trying to court me . Is that true? He's done this 6 times in the last week and if I put him down, he stops.
