large apartment parrots? (mini macs?) please read

Hi everyone , i used to own 2 cockatiels , who i gave to my grandma when i had to move to Brazil , (they love my grandma , thats why i decided to give them to her :greycockatiel: 7 years old both of them , i adopted them when they were 5)
And now that i am here in Brazil , i want to have a parrot again , i miss the love you get from parrot :)
i do want to go bigger though , no more tiels for me
i was thinking about a mini macaw , yellow collared , noble , or severe :macaw:
But i do live in an apartment , there are no people next to us , just under , at the moment the apartment above us is empty ,
i was considering a pionus , but then i heard they aren't very cuddly birds , and that was my favorite thing about my tiels , they loved to play with my hands , (wrestle) and they loved to snuggle against my chest once in a while
i really wanted a poi , but they are quit expensive here in Brazil , and then i thought about a galah cockatoo , but they are around 7000 dollars here :?
And a noble macaw , that is usually very expensive in other countries , is here in brazil 600 reais , so 270 dollars ...
i was also thinking about a lorikeet maybe , but i dont know if they are loud or not ...
green cheek conures are not a possibility ...
i also was considering a hawk head , or an eclectus , but again , noise level ...
i would like a medium to large parrot species
so i just wanted to hear your experiences with different species of birds , and specially those who live in apartments !
so basically , i am looking for a medium to large , cuddly bird that doesnt scream too often
(if they do their call once in a while , is ok , since there are parrots living free around the apartment as well , and they can be pretty loud sometimes , but i wouldnt want a parrot that screams 24/7)
also , i know that parrots have their own personality , but id just like to know what you guys think

i am also new on this forum
so nice to meet you all :)

Welcome to the forum. Personally, I would go with a Brazilian species only, please, don't buy a poached wild-caught (too much of that still going on in Brazil). Mini macaws are nice (I had a Noble and a Hahn's), females nicer than males, but they can have loud calls if they feel neglected. Actually, the only parrots that are quiet enough for an apartment are budgies and cockatiels, all the others have loud calls but if you say that people are used to parrots' calls, then you might get away with a conure that doesn't vocalize too loudly or too often, like a Nanday, for example.

yes i was also thinking about a nanday , but read they can get loud ...
i am getting a Brazilian species , since its easier for the bird ,(weather , food ,etc..)
and no , not a wild caught one ! there is a lot of illegal bird business here , and i do not want to participate , i think its sad for the bird , to be taken from their flock !
but id love to hear more about nandays !

I think that the first thing to do is to make sure that you will even be allowed to keep a parrot in your apartment and try to get it in writing if you are allowed to have a parrot. I read, all too often of people giving their bird up to remain in an apartment, not a thing that I would do as to me they are members of my family. But not everyone looks at this in the same manner as I do.

While I am good at training, I am far too fascinated by all of them to be able to recommend any of them to anyone and so this is the one area that I stay away from.

I live with a 5 yr. old Senegal, a 14yr. old CAG, A 15yr. old Yellow Naped Amazon and most recently a 5yr. old Celestial Parrotlet. They are all girls.
