I think the Vitakraft in Ohio is just the US branch because, although they sell the products all over (see this: http://www.vitakraft.com/), I believe the original company is German and the one where Mecnun is getting his food is based out of Singapore. So yes, I bet they have different ingredients depending on where they sell the product.

I don't know if it is relevant but the veterinarians around here are saying not to by dog and cat food or treats that come from China. Jasmine, one of my Chihuahuas has liver damage due to chicken jerky that I was giving them. I no longer buy anything from China.

My mother broke out in a bad rash when she wore a dress not washed first.

Ok, then. Parrots are suspicious of any food that they are not accustomed to eating, which makes it difficult to get them on a healthy diet when they have been fed a poor diet. Parrots can actually eat many of the same foods that we eat as long as we prepare it just for them. Many fruits and vegetables can be fed raw as long as we wash them thoroughly first and they don't contain pesticides or herbicides, organic is by far the best for them. So once again if you have not read the list that I gave you the link to, please do. It has a lot of information that you need for your parrot, and Zeus will thank you for it.
Now the best way to get them to try new food is for you to cut some of it into really small pieces for Zeus, then cut you several pieces of it and sit down in front of him and slowly eat your portion, making sure that you make quite a show of how good this food is. Watch him while you are enjoying your share of it and when he shows some interest in what you are eating offer him a little piece of his own portion of it.
It may take several times before he is ready to try it but he will want some eventually. Also let us say that you offer him carrots and you have cut it into nice little slices, he tries it and spits it out. Next time you should shred his portion of carrots and so he tries it and this time he likes it, but only a tiny amount. Try again, but try cooking his little pieces of carrot and when they have cooled offer the cooked carrot and this time he loves it and acts like he can't get enough. This is how picky they are. If they don't like something that is good for them try it prepared in different way both raw and cooked except beans they must be thoroughly cooked before they are safe for him to eat. Never give him avocado to eat as it is toxic to him. Make sure that you remove the seeds from any fruit that you give him to eat. All this and more is on the list.
I Would feed him his seed mix in the evening for dinner and remove it from the cage after he goes to sleep and offer him a variety of fruit and vegetables for breakfast making sure that there is enough that he can nibble on them through the day.

As you learn more about parrots and Zeus, in particular, you will find that one of their great delights is to share a meal with you, in more ways than one, but They love to eat with you. Being a flock animal, the eating together and sharing of food is, to them, highly advantageous in terms of survival. As a companion and friend this behavior becomes a cherished bonding activity, no self respecting bird would eat alone when it can share this with its mate or human.
Another aspect to this is that when a parrot is born it does not know what to eat or even how to eat and must be taught these things from its parents, much the same as with a human baby. Parents thus feed the baby and when it is old enough they will bring the actual food to the nest so that the baby bird can see what it looks like and learn how to eat it on its own. And again this becomes a bonding toll when the bird is bred and raised in captivity.
These two aspects of eating, form the basis of why the best way to get a parrot to eat a certain food it to share a few meals of it with them.

Sometimes, the only thing that works is for you to offer a piece of your food. This is not something that should be done because humans have very bad bacteria in their mouths and it can make them sick but you can pretend to do it by biting on one side and offering him the other.

One of the problem foods that gets left off the lists is salt. Birds don't need it, and what we would think is a small amount can be toxic to them. My bird loves cinnamon on her food, but sometimes gets chili powder or basil instead. Or nothing, but she is happiest with cinnamon.

Actually salt is included on the list that I provided the link to, but thank you for that and the rest of the information that you provided. the one thing that most lists don't or can't supply is whether a bird likes this or that food item and that is always especially helpful. Thank you.

You have to be very careful with cinnamon, it needs to be the 'real' one (the one from Ceylon) and just the tiniest sprinkle once a week only because, although the 'fake' (cassia) cinnamon has a higher content, real cinnamon also has coumarin, an element that damages liver.
