Are you saying you found this parrot? As in it isn't yours? Have you checked if it is banded? It may belong to someone. Some parrots don't have visible bands or identification but are micro chipped or DNA identified so only a Vet can check those records.
It found me I did check him out for leg bands to wich he had none. I posted on Craigslist. I have a friend who is a avian vet so I will talk to her and see what she can do.
Check and see if there are any bird stores in your area as well. If so then call all of them to let them know you found him. As well as any other avian vets than your friend. I bet there is someone out there missing him.
If you can not find the owner and feel like having an awesome companion for the next 20 to 30 years or so, Quaker Parrots are really cool. They are ranked among the top five talkers of all parrots and they can be very sweet and playful. They are also just plain cute.
