This to me is really insane because taxonomically these two birds are about as far apart as you can get in the Cacatuidae family. This is not just a cross species hybrid. It's cross genus and tribe as well.

I have trouble believing this is true. Have you seen the size of a Galah compared to a Cockatiel? Where did this info come from?

Edit- did my own search and it appears to be real. I would never have thought they could cross breed. Galahs are huge compared to Tiels. :galah: :cockatiel:

Wow, I wouldn't have thought that was possible! What a neat looking bird.

Does anybody have any reliable information on these birds? How big are they? What's their typical life span? :cockatiel: :galah:

its definitely true, there is one in sydney that i have seen with my own eyes during a holiday over there.

I really am not a fan of hyrbrid species though and can get quite judgemental about it..
