Hybrid Parrots

Doesn't have a lot of information and I found the comments at the end of the article to be perhaps more interesting than the article itself. Does anyone else care to weigh in on this topic?

It does happen in the wild but the 'weird' ones are always a result of captive breeding. Funny thing is, although people tend to believe that hybrid birds are a fairly recent fad, in reality, the domestic canary, which has been bred by humans since the 1400's, is a result of hybridization with other finches so we have known about it for, literally, hundreds of years!

Maybe they are becoming more common because they are finding it harder to find mates of their own species with dwindling populations.
