I don't give them any cardboard rolls, they are all made out of strips glued together and I've never been able to find out if this glue is non-toxic.

Do you know of the safest way to color wooden toys for my bird?

I don't usually color my wooden constructs for my birds, but the safest are probably easter egg dyes or regular food coloring. I don't really know how safe they are for birds though.

So you are saying it is fine to use organic fertilizer or homemade compost?

As long bird does not have direct access to the compost, then it is by far the safest form of fertilizer that can be used, in my opinion.

I am thinking of buying a length of chain to use as a toy or toy part. There are several sizes on sale and I am thinking of buying a 3-foot length with 6 mm wide plastic wire and 3.5 cm x 2 cm. Do you recommend getting a smaller or larger size?

I don't like chains, they make me nervous, but the right size is one that is too big for their claws/toes to get stuck and too little for their beaks to go in.

Do you recommend using Vetafarm Nectar Pellets for my lorikeet to use as a treat food?

I honestly don't think they are suitable foods for lorikeets as they are too dry and may affect the digestive system, but I was wondering if anyone had used them before and if they were fine to feed to your bird occasionally.
