Patti, you obviously have a kind heart and the best of intentions but, please, think about this a bit more because we are now in breeding season and his attachment to you could be influenced by chemistry and hormones. Taking into consideration that parrots are usually monogamous, that they tend to mate for life, that making them imprint to people creates a identity confusion, that this makes most of them be a 'one person bird', and that he needs to find a home fast, which you can't provide right now, your visiting him often and promoting a close bond to you and nobody else might not be in his best interest, you know what I mean?

I know how you are feeling, I would feel the same way, too, and my heart would be telling me to try to help him in some way but, if you can't bring him home right now, visiting him and leaving him behind every time he sees you would make things worse for him. Parrots don't understand the concept of a visit and he screams when he sees you walk away because, to him, you are going away for good every single time and your frequent visits are just going to be create a very stressful roller coaster of happiness and despair for him... and that's not good.
