conure check?

I'm hoping to buy this conure this sunday and from what I can tell the breeder seemed like a nice guy

he said this is a 2 month old GCC male with turquoise mutations (on sides of wing) and its guaranteed male because females don't get this coloring. does he look good to you guys? Its gonna be a 3 hour drive and we are going to go on sunday, so I'm quite excited - but also pretty nervous!! hoping it goes down good...pls wish me luck!!

Well, the 'nice guy' is lying to you, my dear. For one thing, turqoise GCCs don't have just turquoise on their primaries, they are all turquoise (actually, more a soft teal than turquoise) and the mutation is autosomal-recessive and NOT sex-linked, so there is no way he can tell by the plumage if it's a male or a female.
