I have found that, when it comes to parrots vocalizations, it's more a matter of husbandry than anything else. Now, having said that, I will not deny that when Freddie (LSC2) calls, if he is on your shoulder, you feel as if your eardrum is going to split and your brain is rattling around in your skull

But he used to scream constantly (and I do mean CONSTANTLY! - I minded, of course I did!, but the worst was my husband's complaining about it) but now, he only does it maybe two or three times a day and for a few seconds only. Senegals are supposed to be one of the 'quiet' parrots and I had one that was given up because of her screams but she did not scream here...
