Edinburgh zoo managed to breed a single baby Swift but it is doing well. Mind you, the article's title and the comment made by the zoo person is incorrect. There is no such thing as 'fledge the nest' (the correct term would be 'left the nest', I would assume). Fledging is the period between birth and their being able to fly and while they grow feathers and develop wing muscles while still in the nest and getting cared by the parents. I so dislike it when people who should know better say the wrong thing... How can anybody who does not know learn if they give you the wrong info?
