He is doing just great but he is not an orange-face. I don't know why his face looked so orange when I first looked at him but it's not, it's a regular 'peach' face only a bit muted (most likely due to his previous diet). He comes out in the early morning and then again in the evening (both times right before eating so I can get him back into his cage without a problem). He is flying much better now and, although he still perches on my shoulder, he now takes off flying every now and then. Especially when he sees the pois flying together from one room to the other - he takes off and pumps his little wings for all he is worth trying to keep up with the bigger birds -so CUTE! just like the youngest child is always trying to keep up running with the older brothers and sisters!

I have gotten several emails from my posting him to CL but none was from his previous owner. There were some from people who have lost birds (I did not say what species he was, I wanted them to tell me), there was a grey, a sun conure, a sunday, a nanday and a Senegal but no lovie. I also got three emails from people basically saying that if I did not want him, they would take him -to which I politely replied "thank you but no thank you" and two from people telling me to post him in 911parrotalert -which I had already done and for which I have gotten no replies. I will post a couple of times more in CL and see what happens.

He is eating his gloop without any seeds as of today but still no improvement in raw produce (only banana). This morning, he almost kills me of a heart attack because I couldn't find him anywhere and I absolutely panicked (he is sooo little!). I was calling him and calling him (he does not react at all to the name Tomo but he chirps and comes to me when I call him Peachy in a high voice and make kissing noises), looked EVERYWHERE, went down on all four and 'walked' this way the entire downstairs, got on a chair and looked on top of the kitchen cabinets and the top shelves of my library and nothing! I was sweating so badly from the nerves I couldn't even see where I was going and was getting ready to wake up my husband so he could help me when he flies out from under Sunny's cage! The little rascal had found these small triangles in each of the corners of her cage stand which, apparently, had some seeds on them and was very quietly eating them! I did not even know they were there!

Here he is:

Oh, no, no attitude, he is the sweetest little thing and would only nip if you insist on doing or asking for something he doesn't like so I never get a single one. He is a little sweetheart who gives me a kiss in my cheek and then flies away!

Well, if the previous owner does not show up, I will keep him/her - at least, for a while. I will have him sexed and get him a mate but, eventually, I will have to rehome them because I can only take so many birds back home with me and I wasn't planning on taking any little ones... But we will see what happens.
