This is an article talking about the huge numbers of feral IRN to be found in the UK and a very good explanation on why some of them survived the winters there (they belong to a Himalayan subspecies) but I think that the 'global domination' is an exaggeration although I can see how some of these species can be compared to pigeons in their ability to adapt to new environments.
