Exotic feral birds

I thought I would share this with you to illustrate the large variety of species that are now building feral colonies in USA (I did not know there were feral colonies of amazons in Southern California!)

Very interesting article, overall. I was aware of there being feral colonies of red mitred parakeets and red crowned Amazons in southern California because there were a few posts concerning them being hunted and shot here on the forum.

Yes, but I did not know about the Lilac Crowns or the Red Lored - those two were news to me!

Almost every bird ever kept as a pet, anywhere, ever, currently lives wild in Pueto Rico.

I think the natural range of the DYH gets pretty close to the Rio Grande, anyhow. Not too hard to imagine them doing well in the southwest.

I have found blue Fronts to be pretty reasonable. Even sweet. The only one who gives me trouble, is the one who we think is blind in one eye, and probably doesn't see too well out of the other. I always manage to startle him. And he doesn't like men.

Which are the "hot three?" I'd imagine DYH, and YNA, but what is the third?
