I don't think they are saints, I think they just love animals and understand that man is not the center of the Universe, that all species are valuable because, when one becomes extinct, there is a missing link in the 'chain' that keeps the earth healthy. Man has become way too self-centered and too arrogant. It's all about them and what makes them tick - no respect for nature or even for other men. I worry about my grandkids and the world we are leaving behind for them to deal with...
