Macaw stolen from Texas park

I guess nobody reads the news anymore because, if they had, they would have realized that parrots are getting stolen left and right!

This is really sad,

and how it is very likely the Macaw would get sold for more then what they are offering for the safe return of the Macaw.

It is sad but, in all honesty, the bird has a better chance at happiness in a private home than in a zoo or a park.

But the point I was trying to make is that we read reports of parrots being stolen all the time now so one has to put extra care to prevent it - which does not include leaving a bird outdoors completely unsupervised or without a security system in place.

A woman donated her dead husband's macaws to the zoo - I know that she is doing it out of the kindness of her heart but she is SOOOO wrong! It's a fact that large species pet parrots do not do well in a zoo... She is dooming these birds to a real bad life, the poor things!
