I've heard they are very aggressive and can even peck or chew each other's beak off! Is this true?

I have neither any personal experience with red-vented toos nor do I know or heard about anybody keeping them in captivity as they are severely endangered and a CITES I species with international trade all but prohibited but, if I have to make a guess, I would say they are the same as any other cockatoo species: if hand-fed and treated/kept right, they are very loving BUT if kept the wrong way or we are talking about a parent-raised bird, they can be VERY aggressive.
