Flirty Gray?

Postby Pajarita » Tue Aug 04, 2020 10:16 am

A zoo video that says that Larry Grey is acting flirty... For one thing, one cannot tell if the bird is a male or a female because the video is taken so close to the bird that you cannot see the entire body. And, for another, what the bird is showing is hormonal behavior (and it looks more like female than male behavior, if you ask me). I hate it when people who should know better (like zoologists, ornithologists, avian vets, etc and yes, rescuers, too!) use euphemisms to describe perfectly natural behaviors.
