Isn't it funny the way that 'rare' is so subjective to location. One of my co-workers has one, and he's gorgeous. Last time I was there, he fell in love with my t-shirt and hung about. (Photos are from inside the aviary -which is massive - in case anyone's worried about the lack of harness.

okay, this guy is just adorable! its a blue-crowned hanging parrot

they'll grow up to 5 inches in length. I hadn't heard of them till I found the species in one of my books...

This one is really uncommon, I have never heard someone has hanging parrot as pet

they are plenty of hanging parrots in indonesia ... they cost only $5 max :o :o
