I would not breed them on purpose, but my guy is adorable!! :D I wouldn't trade him in thats for sure!

I understand why people aren't supportive of hybrids (not wanting to mess with nature, etc), but personally I would LOVE to have a mixed red-belly/meyers. It would be interesting to see how the respective species' habits, colors, and calls would blend in a hybrid. I've also met some senegal/meyers babies, and not only were they adorable, but they were super sweet! People just need to be smart about breeding.

I don't think she is ugly at all, quite the contrary...and EVERY bird is beautiful in his or her own way. However, I don't think breeding hybrids is very responsible. However if this is something trying to re-home the bird go for it....just don't purchase a hybrid from a breeder. I'm sure this is a very sweet bird though :-)
