Flooding near Boulia, Australia has recently sparked prolific breeding in flocks of Budgerigars. Their flocks are like swarms of bees:

I noticed that one budgie is pretty quiet but can be a little screechy at times. More than 3 or 4 budgies all together, and you start to have a bit of noise. Those flocks are probably incredibly loud.

Notice how all the budgies are green? Wild budgerigars are all green because any other genetic mutations are easily eliminated by predators because they are easily spotted. Budgerigars are small, and probably not the best fliers. They probably need the camouflage and need the benefits of having such a massive flock to survive.

That would be pretty amazing to see. I know I don't care for our swarms of starlings and I'm sure the Aussies don't care for the swarms of parakeets but it'd still be pretty impressive to see. :D
