Thanks! I think I'll look into Green Cheeks more, maybe parakeets.

In addition to the allergy concern, I recommend handling different birds to also see what you are comfortable with, size-wise. Despite being a smallish bird, a Green Cheek is still a lot bigger than a budgie with a stronger bite and a larger attitude!

Well, that pretty much sums up the green cheek attitude! Mine seems to think he's a macaw.

Alright, after I find someone around where I live that has cockatiels, depending on if I'm allergic, I'll try find a good cockatiel breeder!

I personally can't stand teils. I have heard and stated that GCC produce little to no dust.

You can't stand them allergy wise, you mean? Also, I've heard GCC need big cages, and they are quite expensive around here... :?

Green cheeks need about the same size cage as a teil. I can't stand them because the two my step brothers had screetched all day and sometimes night, hissed, bit, and always set my allergies off. So yes allergy wise I can't stand them.

You do know that more than half the sentence stating why you cant stand them is composed of things that have nothing to do with allergies?
The rest is training ;)
