Yes, I believe that's the case. Probably still something she doesn't want to think or talk about though as I believe it was quite difficult for her to do.

Thanks guys. It was difficult but it's okay to talk about it.

Yes, I did have a baby Grey that I hand raised. He went with the Caique to a new home with a friend of mine so I still can visit and know they are extremely well taken care of... so it's not so bad but I do really miss them and would take them back in a heartbeat. He was the same age as all of the birds I hand raised at the pet store and sold but somehow this was different... I guess because he was supposed to be mine.

My husband just told me the other day that he's sorry that it worked out that way and he can see how much I miss the Grey and that someday we will get a Timneh for me (when we have more room). So, at least I can look forward to having one someday.

i'm glad you are still able to visit them, that's so great. At least you know she will give them to you if she ever needs to rehome them. :gray: :caique:

I think Indy is a great name for a girl or boy. My C.A.G. is named Phoebe. She's 4 1/2 yrs old and I got her as a hatchling as well. I waited anxiously for the egg to hatch and visited her everyday until she was ready to come home. Oh what a hoot that time was, she was always trying to impress us with her new found skills such as climbing a ladder. She would shuffle her little feet around so that she looked like she was skating. Now she is the smartest thing ever. She talks to us all the time, knows everyone in the house by name. Asks to go for a walk, watch a movie, even do the dishes. She likes to watch me do the dishes because we sing together. She also has the worst whistle on the planet, she learned it from me and I can't whistle. She thinks she sounds great though and every time she whistle she ends by saying "I'm a good singer, Whoooo!"
So glad your able to get your baby so young.
Take care, Cindy and :gray: Phoebe
