Hi i have bought a new wild parakeet but plz tell me that if i do work on him will it talk or not. nw he is just of 6 months. And also tell me the indications of male n female parakeet

I don't know if that's a species that is particularly likely to talk or not, but you can never know with any individual bird if it is going be a talker... you just take your changes unless the bird is already talking. Even some African Greys don't talk!

I don't know if they are sexually dimorphic.. I think Ringnecks are, but I don't know much about Indian parakeets. You could get the bird DNA-sexed.

I think they are sexually dimorphic. The rings on the neck for the male appear around 1 year. They usually are good talkers, as least that what I have been led to believe. But of course the best way to teach them to talk is to talk to them....a lot! good luck have fun.

if your talking about the Indian ring neck, they have a tendency to talk but its not always certain. they are incredibly smart like all birds and can learn tricks. look up aj the ringneck on youtube
