Yes it is due to money, raising them as cheap as possible and offloading them as soon as possible...

But many laws we dont need, but we have them because people wouldnt take note otherwise...

A cockatiel is a cockatoo, a Moluccan is a cockatoo meh close enough. It seems like a bit much to bite off but I can only hope they go even further with their interests in the bird's well being.

We'll see how long they last... until suddenly the vocal expressions of a bored/excited cockatoo take over their entire house.

Soon they'll wish they got another cockatiel instead. :)

(not saying anything bad about cockatoo's....just that they love to screech *bah* )

not suprizing indeed.
I have 2 stories to share
We have a newbie that brogut 10 brids with in a 2-3 months and borught another 2 to make it a lucky 7.....

Another newbie brought a B&Y macaw and he had done his homework, he doesn't seem to have problems with handling the brid.

I reckon the key in success is " you have to know what you are getting."

How much do moluccan cockatoo's even cost? I'm pretty sure that GCC are a heck of a lot cheaper than going for a cockatoo. Then there's the cage, new toys, vet bills, extra time...these people are crazy.
