The reason it's 8 hours is primarily cause of all the airport regs, bureaucracy, and traffic. The breeder has to get the parrot into the crate, drive an hour to the airport, drop the parrot off at least two hours before flight, then just a three hour flight, then another two hours of disembarkation and collection time and then an hour drive back with me. That's pretty much the least time it could possibly take cause three hours is a pretty shorty flight. Then again, even a one hour flight would keep the bird crated for six cause all the pre and post time.

Truman has arrived. I'll have a video and more complete report a bit later. The parrot is super friendly and eating/drinking heartily. Everything worked out great.

$1200. is that a reasonable price?
just wondering, never really heard of Capes much till you got yours.
have no idea what they sell for......
