If you go to these links and click on where it says "Availability" you will see the Half Moon Conure each of those breeder has available and a picture of it. You may want to consider these if you really want that type of bird. They'd ship it to you and you'd have to go pick it up from an airport. You may even have to wait for another season for more of these kinds of babies to become available.
Another reliable source is the Parrot Place. They have locations all over the united states and do a bang-up job at ensuring you get an amazing hand-fed baby bird.
They do all sizes and breeds.... in fact, they were even able to locate our Greater Vasa Parrot after we'd been searching for 2 months for a reliable source.
Types of Birds Owned: Cockatiel (grey), Sun Conure, Indian Ringneck (blue), Yellow Collared Macaw, Congo African Grey, Greater Vasa Parrot, Blue and Gold Macaw
I did find a breeder in Arozona that has five Half Moons available. At 300 plus transportation, I might be just as able to buy the Half Moon in a store in North Hollywood for 500. There is a bird expo? in San Jose in November and I'm thinking I should just go there and see what is available.
I did check out Bird Breeders, There is only one breeder that has a Half Moon available right now but I think she is to far away. I'd rather get a bird from closer. Maybe the Arizona breeder? Or I think I should just go to the expo.
would you consider a re-home? The rescue I volunteer for currently has a half-moon, but I don't know how far you're willing to travel (they are located in SF/Sac area).

Would that Half Moon be Woody? If so I did inquire about him and am planning to go to the information seminar that group has about parrot care. I also do not believe I would quality for Woody as I have cats and a small house. However, I did find my new bird! There is a breeder in Selma that has four babies. He is going to hold one until November for me. Also there is a breeder in Arizona, who was actually willing to make a trip to CA, in which case he would have brought the bird. He has five that were born in May. The breeder in Arizona has five. I can't believe he still has them as they are so difficult to find and difficult to breed. I am so excited!
