My first bird was a budgie who was given to me by a neighbor. She was much bigger than budgies I see now, and she was a lot more calm and sedate. She was blue with a yellow face, also a coloration I don't see often.

I suspect that she was an English budgie, but I have never seen another like her around anywhere.
