Cuddly species of birds

I think it depends on the birds personalities.
My cuddliest here are my Lovebird and my Senegal.

our two Macaws are probably the most cuddly birds I've ever met...

Riley (severe macaw) can be balled up into a pile and put in a pocket if so desired... and she would rather starve to death than stop getting cuddles.

Napoleon (yellow collared macaw) is the definition of cuddle-bird. It's just rediculous... both he and riley find the most random/odd positions to be held/supported and fall asleep while gently nibbling fingers/toes/clothes.

Jimmy the Hood has a mood disorder... but love the times he is cooing and preening my hands as part of our towel play...he does cuddle at times usually if I am reclining and reading...He most often plays the role of sentinel though...my lion hearted companion poised to pluck out the eyes of the evildoers (:

I have to defend the amazons, my "jake " and my wife's "stacy" are both hen Yellow Napes that are as cuddly as any Tiel or Conure, Jake will even sleep under my chin while i watch TV, she seems to enjoy resting against me and having my breath exheld on her.

I had an female Eclectus - She was absolutely sweet and cuddly - She would curl up in my arms - lean against my chest - climb on my shoulder and cuddle my ear with hear beak. Apparantly, she was amazingly quiet for a Solomon Islander.

I visit a GCC on Mondays at a pet store a couple towns away from me. I love that guy...Sometimes when I pet him on his perch he leans so far into my hand I'm afraid he'll fall over if I move it. He likes to lay in my arms too while I pet his belly. I go home and miss him all week.

I'm getting a Senegal -
Supposed to be here soon - after tons of research - I decided to buy this one - Because of the Relative quietness of the species, the size and personality. I've owned Parrotlets, Lineolated Parrots and owned an Eclectus. (female) I hand raised every baby - and so - They were all cuddly. The Linnies - seemed to be naturally sweet and cuddly - My Eclectus was hand raised - and was just adorable in spite of what some folks told me. I had to rehome all of my babies - because of a serious illness. I'm 'long term' stay in a REhab and Nursing facility. And I needed a bird who would fit comfortably in my rather small space. So - The Senegal seemed to fit - the best. The best idea - in my opinion - is to go to a Bird show in your area - and talk to everyone. (They will also have supplies, cages and feed - at much cheaper prices than you can buy them normally.) Good Luck.

Hi! I has a very young blue parrotlet named Blu. He is extreamly cuddly. Some parrotlets are teritorial of their cages, but compleatly different outside of their cages. Blu loves to wiggle in my hair and sit on my shoulder everywhere i go. I think that a parrotlet would be a good option because of their snuggle personality, but can also be rather playful when you want them to be!

I think African Greys are closet cuddlers
Jacko's usually plastered to me or asking for scritches or neck rubs.

They're a bit like those people who act so standoffish and tough because they're afraid of getting hurt that they don't really want to get close to people. But once they've chosen to trust you they melt.
