I think that's the same species my husband's Sake was, he referred to him as white spectacled. He was a fairly small Amazon, much smaller than a yellow-nape. Sake was raised by my husband, but went to live with his mother for a couple of years and totally bonded to her. He could be handled by others, but really only came out of his shell for her. I don't know if he was typical in that respect. We had always planned to have him, but he predeceased Bill's mom by only a couple of months, quite mysteriously. Bill's mom sure loved that bird... he was a great pet for her. FWIW.
