Between my weird dream and the bird at the bird store today, it seems like something that could happen! This particular store is basically run by breeders and has a lot of java trees with birds out on the floor, and occasionally one hops off and goes walkabout. Today it was a young

and Bill picked it up to put back on its tree with the rest of its clutch mates, only it didn't want to go... so he finally got it to go back on the stand, but next time he passed within a foot of the tree, it hopped onto him! So he handed it to me, and then I put it back down, next thing I know, it's hopped back onto me! We are pretty sure this is a VERY young clutch, the one we saw still being hand fed last time we were in there, about 3 weeks ago. We did manage to leave without her (but not before finding out it was a her). Whew! Close one!
I'm not really serious, we don't really have time for a third, but... are Greys that affectionate, or is this an unusual example? She was really awfully sweet. I've never been that attracted to Greys, but I think my mind is beginning to change. But they are quite difficult to keep happy, aren't they? High strung, need to be kept busy... right?
We don't want one, right?
