They're very cute in a way that I imagine dinosaurs would have been. Cute in an ugly way, I guess.

I think only women say something is so ugly it's cute.

Someone yesterday said they had no idea baby ringnecks look like uncooked chicken nuggets. I asnered my juice.

I think women are programmed to think that baby anythings are cute. I'm not sure human babies would be kept all that long if they weren't.

They look more like uncooked whole chickens to me. Albeit, very miniature versions of them.

Well, newborn humans are pretty freakin' UGLY. Especially if labor's any extended period of time and that head's all elongated and squished. C-section babies are more "perfect" looking. And then they're covered in blood and slime and goo. . .

Hm . . . Baby birds are cuter.

I say that to people ALL the time and everyone always gets mad! Newborn humans aren't cute at all. They're slimy and they have funny shaped heads. And then they have a hardened stump of an umbilical cord for weeks.

I'll take almost any other kind of newborn. I'll only take the human baby once they lose the stump and can sleep through the night. ;)

Human babies are extremely ugly, I believe people lie when they lavish the mom with 'That's an absolutely beautiful baby!'. I think they continuously look ugly until they develop more human like features.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks this. Everyone thinks I'm nuts when I say human babies aren't cute. I think kids become cute around 2 years old. They're more interactive and usually potty trained by then!

I do find baby birds to be oddly cute though. I think because they remind me of dinosaurs and I think dinosaurs are fascinating. Baby birds are second only to wet birds.
