Caique Breeders

Postby Ta2Matt » Wed May 04, 2011 10:13 pm

Caique Breeders,
More specificly, with 6 hours drive from Ottawa Ontario, Canada.
If anyone know of any reputable breeders that meet this criteria (or can ship to my location if they don't) any information would be greatly appreciated. I've seen quite a few and I am planning on getting in contact with them shortly. How ever, if I can narrow it down to top grade ones right off the bat that would be great!! :)

I don't recall seeing very many caique owners on here, honestly. Maybe someone knows the breeders, but that link is usually pretty good about posting reputable people.

I'm also in the Ottawa area.

The breeder who I got my cockatiel from has some black headed caiques that she is hand feeding currently. She lives in Woodlawn, which is in the west end of Ottawa.

Her website is: http://www.sunsetaviaries.ca/

She doesn't have them listed on the site yet, but she has posted an ad for them on kijiji : http://ottawa.kijiji.ca/c-pets-birds-fo ... Z279965169

Another user on here bought an Eclectus from her a few months ago.

There's also a pet store in the Toronto region which hand raises caiques. The store is called Exotic Wings and Things: http://www.exoticwings.com/home.html

They sell both the white bellied and the black headed.

Good luck!

Too bad Rosco's breeder sold his parents when they moved last year - she had 3 lovely clutches and spoiled her babies like there was no tomorrow! Otherwise, I'd suggest going on her waiting list :)
