Here's a view of his back if it helps. The other pic was taken by my webcam and this one was taken with a regular camera by my friend. He's on my head :P

I think the best guess is a Jenday. I personally don't think it matters because a Sun and a Jenday are so similar anyway. No one will be able to tell you definitively unless you contact the breeder. The store you bought him from may have his breeder information, but I'd doubt it.

As long as you're happy with him, it doesn't matter whether he's a Sun, Jenday, or a Sunday. Now, if he were big a grey and you were told he was a sun conure, there may be a problem.

He's beautiful, though. Very pretty coloration.

You can absolutely tell the difference between a Sun Conure and a Jenday or Sunday but you may have ore difficulty telling apart a Jenday and a Sunday.

I've seen Suns and Jendays that I can tell apart, but aren't they really similar in personality? As long as you love the guy, I can't see the species really being that just of a problem. That is, unless you're being told a Grey is a conure. Or something obvious like that.

Yes, yes I know. You can def tell the difference between a mature sun conure cuz they start to turn yellow on the wings but the sunday and the jenday I'm having a problem with. Skittles actually has yellow on the tips of his feathers, but it's really vague.

One of my jenday babies from jenday parents w/ no yellow in the wings:

The parents, Candy and Connor:
http://staringatbirdsandgoats.blogspot. ... ather.html

To the best of my knowledge Candy and Connor are full blood jendays. Every once in a while a baby ends up w/ a little bit of yellow in their wings. This has happened with most of my pairs of jendays. Most babies have solid green wings, once in a while there's a baby w/ some yellow.
