I'd love to have a bird room ;) Yessss!!!

Love owls, but their eyes are kind of...too much for me.

I already have one of my dream birds - the Scarlet Macaw (but I need another one ;)), then of course I have a whole bunch on the list, like...
* Moluccan Cockatoo
* Slender-billed Cockatoo (I'm not kidding, they're gorgeous)
* Blue-eyed Cockatoo (The Moluccan crest with the Tritons color and eyering. ;))
* Blue-throated Macaw (But then it would be a pair... I don't believe in keeping such highly endangered species as pets. There are only about 250 left in the wild and less than a thousand in captivity. :()
* Black Palm Cockatoo (Seriously, it can't get much more magnificent than this.)
Proud slave of Saga and Cirino, and missing Yondo and Egon.

Hyacinth macaw for me! I just love their huge, goofy smiles and of course their coloring. I used to work in a bird shop, and once one of the baby (but almost full-sized) hyacinths jumped onto my head for fun - wasn't able to move my neck for a few days! I could see myself getting a macaw eventually, but probably not a hyacinth as I'd be looking at rescue birds and you don't seem to get too many hyacinths needing homes.

I also love eclectuses. They're so weird! I've only met one, but from watching some in videos they seem like they'd be really interesting to get to know. And I just love the colors on the females. I've found a few up for adoption on Craigslist in my area, so I suspect that maybe there's a breeder around who isn't preparing/warning buyers well enough of the care the birds need. Just a suspicion I have. In a year or two I might be interested in adopting one if there are still any needing homes.

Lastly, of course, cockatoos! Umbrella, sulfur-crested, whatever, they're adorable. Just have the sweetest faces and whenever I'm feeling down about something I'll look at dancing or cuddly cockatoos on youtube. Obviously there are LOTS of cockatoos needing new homes all the time, so I imagine that at some point in my life I'll probably end up adopting one, but probably not while I'm single as I don't know if I alone would be able to provide enough attention, since I already have a bird.

Long post, but anyways, I imagine that when I'm a crazy old lady in my retirement, these are the birds I'll probably be looking to adopt.
