A Raven!

I use to do wildlife rehabilitation and Ravens are the heart of my heart. I love the mythology surrounding them all over the world and I constantly read books and articles about them. Their intelligence and personalities are beyond comparison. One of my favourite books that demonstrates their adaptability and individuality is called "Mind of the Raven."

If not a Raven, I would love and adore an Illiger's Macaw :) It is my more attainable parrot goal ;) :macaw:

I use to work with birds of prey. An outdoor enclosure is a perfect set up (to keep it away from the bunnies) and I recommend Harris Hawks as they are social. They were one of my faves because they played with things in their enclosure and would form attachments to different handlers. They are a good starter bird as well.

I enjoyed the other hawks too of course, but they were a little more bland unless food motivated. The Bald Eagles were also very entertaining, but much more risky! ;)

Hand-raised European barn owls can be pretty affectionate too ;)

My dream bird really has nothing to do with the look, and more to do with the temperament. My first lovebird was my dream bird, as he was like my best friend. I know this is dangerous, but there were many times where if I was laying in bed he would get out of his cage and crawl right in there with me.

NOW, this that said there are two species that I'm interested in:

- A ringneck Parakeet.
- A Galah Cockatoo.

The Cockatoo is highly unlikely because I know they require so much attention that I don't think I'll ever be able to give (I want kids of my own), but I'm fairly certain that I will end up with a ringneck one day.

Oh, and I love any kind of conure...

The one I'd really love to have would be the Hyacinth macaw, I love their colors, their massive size, and their disposition, playful but gentle.
Other birds I'd really like to own are the black palm cockatoo, a raven, severe macaw, camelot macaw, or african gray.

I really love the birds we have now too, our little blue parrotlet has tons of personality, he's playful feisty, and he talks, our sun conure is just a baby but training is going really well with him, he's goofy and playful too but a lot more chill than the parrotlet. We also have an IRN but she's pretty wild and scared to death of hands, she does interact well with me thru the cage tho and will raise her wings when I ask her to, I taught her that by saying "wings" over and over while raising my arms out and eventually she just started to copy what I did...
