Eclectus. I don't mind aratinga conures, big honkin' macaws, M2s, any 2s all screaming within inches of my face. One blast out of the eclectus and I feel like my teeth are going to fall out.

For me it's conures. I don't like their calls.

I have a hard time answering this. Conures don't bother me, I don't love every noise they make but I don't overly mind them either. I used to HATE the shrill lovebirds but now that I have one, I love her! I love her chatter! I also have a quaker, and after living with a screaming jenday no one finds her very loud. I mean she ain't a cricket but she's not LOUD. I enjoy her banter too. Now, a whole flock of quakers contact calling- jinkies!

I don't know what this would fall under, given those choices, but I'm always offput by ringnecks from their calls. They have some real beauties at the bird store I go to but the sound they make I just can't seem to get past.

I'll also go with conures. I don't know how people can function when a Sun is screaming. It paralyzes me and I can't do anything until it either shuts up or I leave the store (only place I've heard them is the bird store I visit, and youtube of course). I also find cockateil whistles pretty annoying, used to live in an apartment and they had one upstairs. It's the repetitive, high-pitched calls that annoy me the most.

My Sun likes to call attention to herself and it's usually more embarassing when she goes off than anything. People jump and I have to apologize.

I don't know why, but large macaw squawks tend to be so out of the blue that they scare the crap out of me. Maybe I haven't heard enough parrot calls though...

I agree with Pat - Eclectus are pretty bad. Especially in an enclosed space. Oy.

Caiques for the smaller guys, have a pretty grating call they do. I don't know if it's worse than a larger conure... but it sure can be irritating.

urgh sun conures! the ones at work drive me absolutely insane and they are in an aviary....wayy down the bottom of the zoo..

lorikeets dont really have an annoying call they are just loud which is easy to deal with and are chatty all the time theres no quiet time with a lorikeet

if i had never met sun conures i would probably say the budgie.... they make a lot of noise for something thats so tiny!

Working at a recue with more birds than most people can fathum it is by far the cockatoos that are the loudest most frequent and shril like. Oh and time means nothing to them.

Conures hands down for sure for me.
Although have to say, caiques as of yesterday are on that list lol. The local store has a lil black-cap caique that learned a very shrill piercing whistle sounds like a missile strike
I also don't like quakers very much.

The big guys don't bother me. It's really the pitch---if it's sharp and shrill and makes my ears ring or pop then its definetly annoying. Plain volume isn't really a problem.

My Gold Capped Conure drives me absolutely insane. I've had her since the fall and haven't gotten used to it yet. Sometimes I have to leave the house just to get my skin to stop crawling. I've thought about asking her old owners if they want her back on more than one occasion. I always end up deciding to keep her. I'm just trying to be consistant at trying to get her to reduce the frequency of the screams. Her volume isn't bad, it's just the pitch of the scream that gets to me.
