Its a true red belly macaw. Its not a hybrid at all!

Definitely a red-bellied macaw, Orthopsittaca manilata.
Proud slave of Saga and Cirino, and missing Yondo and Egon.

There are no "crossbreeds" among parrots since there are no breeds at all. I suppose you mean hybrid, but as many of us already said, it's a true Orthopsittaca manilata. ;)

I am sure that whatever he is red bellied or not (I have no idea) he will make a wonderful comp[anion once he trusts you. I hope you have many wonderful years together.

I have had several red bellied macaws and always find them to be special birds. I'd share some of the information I've learned on diet with you, but don't want to bore the group! I've joined in order to see if there are other red bellied macaw owners out there; if so, it would be nice to connect!
