My favorite species goes something like this (in no exact order)...
* Moluccan Cockatoo, Cacatua moluccensis
* Sulphur-crested Cockatoo, Cacatua galerita and C. sulphurea

* Leadbeater's Cockatoo, Cacatua (or Lopochroa) leadbeateri

* Blue-eyed Cockatoo, Cacatua ophthalmica
* Slender-billed Cockatoo, Cacatua (or Licmetis) tenuirostris
* Palm Cockatoo, Probosciger aterrimus
* Scarlet Macaw, Ara macao
* Lear's Macaw, Anodorhynchus leari
* Blue-throated Macaw, Ara glaucogularis
* Buffon's Macaw, Ara ambigua

...yes, I love cockatoos and macaws, in case you didn't notice.

Well umm in popularity I guess... What I think is

Hardly anybody has Cape Parrots so they are definitely not in the top ten most popular parrots. Conures are very popular. Macaws aren't as popular in general due to the fact that they require an experienced bird keeper. Senegals have been recently introduced in the pet trade ( which is why we really haven't seen older ones ). Ringnecks aren't as popular as one might think.
