how can you make a bond between them

hi guys

I have 2 parrots
african grey .. about 3 years old
and orange winged .. i dont know the exact age .. but i think he is a year old or a little older


the problem is .. when i let them to be outdoor of the cage
they start fighting .. till death !!!

especially the african grey .. becomes very aggressive just when he see the amazon
the amazon is a little more calm .. but still he is trying to safe his life and fight ..

I cant let them both to be outdoor .. I used to let one of them and keep the other

I want to make a bond between them .. and I think that will be a very fantastic
especially when you see them playing together or eating

but is that POSSIBLE ????
is there any technique for that ??
or the isolation is the only choice

There is never any guarantee that two birds will get along - a lot has to do with their individual personalities.

To be honest, if you were forced to be around someone you hated and that someone tried to force you to like each other, how would you feel?

You can try to get them used slowly to each other, but the key here will be time and patience. Lots of each. Gradual introductions and preferably in a neutral area. But it's very possible that they will never become friends.

Myrtle, my one year old BF Amazon was being terrorized by an AG. He wanted to kill her.
She lived in terrible fear, lost weight and had a dull color.

The woman finally had enough scense to give her up (or get RID of her). I caught the add early and got her.

She watched parrots on YouTube.com but screams when she sees an AG.

Keep them in seperate rooms. Don't let your Amazon live a life of fear. Protect your Amazon from even having to see the AG.

Myrtle has changed into a different little kid but she is still afraid of AGs.

You can't. They're "supposed" to be bonded to you.

Keep them flighted.

Don't let the African Grey show aggression to the Amazon. Your Amazon willnot progress.

When I got Myrtle the woman told me she never makes a noise and never comes out of her cage. I have had her a few months now. She is talkative, sings and only goes in her cage to eat.

I can't stress this enough. You have already left them in a situation where they actually fought.

Would you want to live that way. Always in fear for your life?

btw , Iam separating them all the time , but sometimes let them to be together for a while just to see what is the reaction , and that was in the first days when i bought the amazon ..

but for now , i will even seperate them in rooms
i wont let the amazon to see AG anymore .. may he gets rid of the lethargic/fear situation he has

Another thing you can try. Let the Amazons flight feathers grow back but keep the Grey's feathers trimmed for a while.

Give the Amazon access to a hight at least your eye level. Put the Grey no higher than chest level.
Others, more knowledgable than me, say that the hight does not mean anything but Myrtle says different.

I had strung a rope abvove my head in the sun room to give her more enrichment. She developed an attitude and would not listen to me while she was on the rope. I had to take it down. I attached a tree branch to her cage that sticks out and is at eye level and it solved the problem. She can still bounce and hang upside down on it.

since i put the amazon in another room and dont let him to see AG again
i feel like he starts to smell the live again !!
he is more active and lively than before
very strange .. I cant believe all that fear and lethargic state was dut to African grey hhh
the horrible african hhhh
even though he still can hear the screaming of AG ,, but he is better than before
