very cool... wanted one til i came across a bronze wing pionus through work, fell in love too fast. glad i got him though, fits in better in my flock than a Vasa would. Vasas are like mega-pionus' to me. lol.

We have a greater vasa parrot as well. I very much recommend them as pets- he's super affectionate and very smart (he understands most of what he says) and has tonnes of personality. He's a big commitment though since he'll live for about 100 years...

I know of a breeder in Ca. that has two weaned babies right now, they are the Greater Vasa. Her name is Carol she is asking $950.00 for one, I thought was a great price . I can give you more info if interested.
