the dandruff on his/her feathers is probably just dust. if you watch this video you will see the dust coming off of the bird . ohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlWpfHGGvkU . just so you know dust is just dirt there is no reason to be worried .

LemonLover I am a little worried about you. You have not given your age or how your family feals about your birds. Instead of dealing with the second tiel you want to sell it. Then you want to get another. You don't keep the cage clean enough and you have not studied enough.

When you go back to school is someone else in your family going to help care for the kids? If you do not have family support the responsibility is all on you and you must deal with it.

Stay in the forum and read as much as you can about cockatiels. Just key cockatiel in the search and it will bring up all the conversations in past history of the forum too.

The fact that you say "I know alot about these birds" concerns me.

I am learning from this forum every day. I am learning things I had never even thought about. When I have time I go back in the history of the posting to pick up things I missed. I have learned that what I know about birds is not enough and I need the knowlege of the other members.

Lemonlover, you are ignorant and rude. No you do not know a lot about birds, you haven't dealt with bird puberty, cage aggression, and other behavioral problems. You probably don't even know how to read bird body language. Why does your male keep biting you? Because you keep sticking your finger in his face, which is the opposite of what you should do to a new bird.

When Lemon or any bird hits puberty, it will get aggressive and bratty. You need to quit your 'I know it all' attitude and learn to deal with it. Unless you plan on selling every problematic bird in the attempt to find the 'perfect' bird.. which doesn't exist.
