Having no horizontal bars is fine, but not ideal. It's simply easier for the bird to climb in a cage with mostly horizontal bars, as they don't slip down. But they figure out how to remedy that fast, as they don't slip when they have their mouth on the bars, but they do when they're holding onto it with their feet.

I have tried to offer my Quaker several kinds of vegetables including lettuce, carrots and bananas, but she doesn't seem to like any of them. Can anyone tell me some other fruits or veggies to feed her?

All I can say is [b]Keep trying[b]. Some birds prefer mashed up veggies than cut up. You can put them in a food processor and serve them to your bird if he prefers that. If you do not have that, just dice the veggies finely and put them in his cage every day so he might just go and try them!

Thank you very much! She will now eat broccoli, carrots, and also a little applesauce. I try to feed her some every day with new fruits as well, and I feed her two different kinds of pellets with some assorted seeds every other day.
