Hey Evaleen! Where do you live?? Are you considering shipping the bird or buying directly from a breeder or shop? I don't know what research you've done for breeders but I found these 2 websites. I live in California and our bird shop had 1 yesterday. Hope this helps! :)

my mustache is a very sweet bird. He does not scream at all. He has a loud "squawk" that he uses when he wants to make noise, but it's only irritating when you are trying to watch tv...

They are great little birds. They are very pretty with the salmon colored chest and the different colors of green that they have. I love the green on the back of their heads.

I have always had cockatiels, so it is taking me a little while to get used to parrot body language. The whole "eye pinning" thing is weird.

derekb ; The eye pinning this is great as far as it goes but to understand the eye pinning it must be looked at in conjunction with other body language as it could indicate anger, or it could just indicated interest, but all by itself it means nothing of value. Also cockatiels are wonderful little parrots, although I do not have any of them don't sell them so short as at the very least they should be able to provide valuable insight into cockatoo behavior. I know that many people might not think of them in that manner but they are members of that family of parrots and most parrots in a given family do seem to have similar behaviors. For instance both cockatiels and cockatoos are normally very loving birds but the large cockatoos often get into trouble due to their very large, powerful beaks that are strong enough that even a playful nip could mean a visit to the emergency room, while this is unlikely with a cockatiels just due to their size.

Just thought that I would toss this out there and although I might be speaking out the wrong orfice over it, I think that you may be selling both the cockatiel and you and your experience a little bit short.

That was a very old post brought up by this Hunt that has been posting replies that don't mean anything on several of them so I am thinking it's a person who gets paid to post by the number.

Probably true, but unless he breaks the rules there is nothing that I can do.
