My senegals behaviour?

Postby emmalala » Thu Jan 12, 2012 3:19 pm

My senegal paulie is usually a happy bird. she sings, whistles and laughs! dances and all sorts. She's out of her cage for at least 4 hours a day. I wish it could be more but I have young kids in the house and don't want her to get hurt or them! :senegal: My problem is she/he likes to chew on my mirror and doorframe?! why? she/he has lots of toys, perches and has plenty of interaction. how can I stop her from doing this without restricting her freedom? she is a flighted bird

She can't help it. There's just something more appealing about destroying the real thing rather than practicing on toys
