Can you sex my bird?

Postby emmalala » Thu Jan 12, 2012 3:22 pm

I really don't know if paulie is a he or she! Not that is really matters but I'd be happier knowing. Paulie is a very confident bird, and loud, and from what I've seen of my father in laws female senegal, seems bigger than her. Paulies beak is also quite long. I think paulie is a he where as hubby thinks paulie is a she! any ideas?

I think there are several services that offer it online (which means you have to pluck a feather and send it for analyzis), or you can go to a vet. I have no idea what it costs in england though, but from a quick googling I would guess around 20£ online, more if you visit a vet.

Take blood from the nail. It's not that big a deal.

I'm agree that's the way, I always take blood from the nail to be sure, and don't worry it's not expensive :) :D
