Sun Conures

Postby parrotlover » Mon Jan 23, 2012 6:27 pm

I think one day (when Chevy passes away), I want to get a Sun conure. I've always loved them! :sun:

Do any of you'll have any comments on this? Would help if I had some information on them. :D

They are beautiful birds and just like most conures, they can be very cuddly. The one thing I would say is that if noise bothers you, a sun conure may not be the best choice. Their screams can be VERY loud.

Parrotlover, with care you will be middle age when Chevy passes away. They can live 25 years I think. If you want a sun conure you will have to make it work between them.

i have to agree, these birds are SUPER loud with a deafening scream.....of course if you do not mind noise then you will be fine because they make amazing pets

i love my sun conure and cannot imagine not having her! She loves both my wife and myself (but prefers me a bit more :)!!) She takes showers with us and snuggles cuddles in our shirts and is just generally pleasant to be around. he can get loud at times but not for long. She has lots of energy and will sometime wear us out while we watch tv! She has not ever bitten us hard even when she is upset, which is not often. We have had her for almost 2 years and will never part with her!
