Hi....I think I just replied to your other post and said that I couldn't see the side of the head to tell the sex, but now I see some side views .......and WOW.....this is a tough one....your little bugger has got a lot of blue all around ( that's usually how you tell if it's a male in a plet), But if you ask me I would say I do see a streak so therefore "I" think it's a male....

So not sure of the mutation, and I don't believe you can tell the age of a bird by just looking at it......maybe someone else will come along and be able to help more

That's why I'm confused! Lol. The colors are beautiful but confusing:). The is not blue visa me on the top of the wing... I'm still earning some trust to get a good look at the underneath. Thanks for you thoughts!

Not sure what happened to my above post- lol. It was supposed to say: there is not blue visible on top of the wings.

The blue streak I'm refering to is at the eyes......thats how to tell if it's a male plet......but it is sometimes hard to tell with some mutations.....

It is a blue split to green Pacific. If there is no dark blue anywhere on it, it is a girl. Eye streaks are present in girls & boys. I can't tell age hough :) good luck on your plet- there is a whole parrotlet site with articles on parrotlets and forums here- http://www.parrotletworld.webs.com
I like to have a good website that has resources on my species, and in case you need any other help it might come in handy :) it has a article on color mutations- though it does not say anything about splits :( Good luck with you and your little guy/gal! :)
Hi! You can visit my parrotlets, Benry and Chase, at: http://www.benryandchase.webs.com . Thanks!
