I go to our local bird shop and oogle the parrots all the time. I admire them, but I know how much trouble the bigger ones are and aren't tempted in the slightest lol.

My Quincy is not as loud as other suns.....but she has her moments. it is probably due to the fact that if i am in the house she is out of her cage on me or my wife. She is extremely active and cuddly at the same time. She is a hoot and i cannot imagine life without her! She has never bit me harder than a nip and i haven't experienced any hormonal issues ...yet (she is 1 1/2yo)

You chose a budgie, now respect that relationship and make it work. Its like saying to your partner/spouse 'oh sorry, I found someone flashier and younger than you who's more exciting---see ya!'

I totally agree with that. I too have a budgie and have considered the possibilities I could have with a bigger bird, but budgies can be quite capable in some things like larger birds. for instance trick training. and they look adorable when they do.
just wandering, what type of colour mutation is fleury?

Seriously though, if you want a "bigger" bird, look into cockatiels!

Yes definitely. When we went on a weekend trip, we gave Ladu (my cockatiel) to my dads friend who has a Budgie. When we got back, she told us that Ladu and the budgie were like best friends  and that they would hang out on their cage and talk to eachother and stuff. Cockatiels usually get along great with budgies, so if you wanna get a bird of different species, get a cockatiel for definite.
